Supporting Fun, Recreation, Friendship & Stimulation For Children and Young Adults With Physical and/or Learning Disabilities in Nottinghamshire.
Initiatives
Since 2002, FunDays has supported a number of initiatives, these are:
Oak Field Summer School
In July and August the charity supports Oak Field School when it holds a 10 to 20 day summer school for children and young people with severe or profound physical and/or learning difficulties based at the Oak Field School. About 130 young disabled people enrol from both special and mainstream schools across the city and county. Every day they engage in a variety of group outings and activities, including drama, art, pottery, music, cooking etc. Artists and performers also work in the Summer School.

A different theme is set each year, with a broad curriculum provided and concluding in a presentation ceremony with dignitaries from the University School of Education.
